A Perfect Mother’s Day in New York City

Everybody likes to show their moms just how much they appreciate and care about them; especially every second Sunday in May. On this May 14th, New York City is gearing up once again to help facilitate the American family tradition of Mother’s Day – 2017. The Big Apple offers all sorts of wonderful options in which to honor the most important women in our lives. Sometimes, knowing what the perfect gift is, or brunch choices are, can either be perplexing at best and/or absolutely frustrating at worst. We have compiled a list of a few great brunch options for Mother’s Day, and we have also included some popular New York City businesses with which to buy those favorite classics, that we absolutely know mom will love.

Three Great Mother’s Day Brunch Choices

Claudette

This fine dining French restaurant showcases New York’s local produce and seafood with a Mediterranean flair. They provide their guests with a wide selection of wines from the South of France,  which truly complement the delicious Provençal fare they serve. Cocktails and Aperitifs are also available. The “prix-fixe” brunch menu is $45.00 per. They will also be offering Mother’s Day specials for dinner as well.

Claudette is a sister restaurant to New York City’s popular Rosemary’s trattoria and Bobo. The restaurant has been open since 2014. Claudette is also close to Washington Square Park – Which is a very nice place for a short walk, either before or after a fine Sunday Brunch on a warm spring Mother’s Day.

L’Amico

This New York City restaurant offers classic American cuisine with an old-school Italian influence. Executive Chef Laurent Tourondel models the food on his memories of the European countryside. That ambiance permeates everywhere in his establishment.  Chef Tourondel takes his traditional old-world Italian recipes, and then uses them to redefine classic modern American dishes, and then present them in a fresh new format.
The restaurant’s appearance comprises a visible “see-through” kitchen throughout the dining area, as well as a view of passersby on Sixth Avenue.  The restaurant provides both a classy and casual atmosphere in a comfortable setting. Their twin copper-covered wood burning pizza ovens offer more sizzling baked favorites than just pizza, including pasta dishes. They also offer an assortment of meat charcuteries as well. For Jazz lovers, the restaurant will be playing live music on Mother’s Day from 11 am until 3:30 pm.
